Q: Will I need planning permission?

Planning permission usually isn’t required as many conversions fall within the permitted development rights. Once we have assessed your property and the type of conversion you wish to carry out we can give you more guidance on your particular circumstance.

Q: Will a loft conversion add value to my home?

It is estimated that adding a bedroom and bathroom from a loft conversion can add over 20% to a property value. It is easily the best investment in terms of ROI (return on invetsment) that you can do to a property.

Q: How much will it cost?

Generally between £30,000 and £50,000. We offer a free, fully detailed and all inclusive loft conversion quote within 7 days of carrying out our survey.

Q: Can we see one of your previous loft conversions?

Yes, we can arrange for you to view one of our completed lofts, we will try to arrange one that is similar to the loft you are going to have. We have completed over 30+ loft conversions in the last couple of years alone and in all shapes and sizes.

Q: Will I have to move out while the loft is being done?

No, the majority of loft conversions that are completed will only interfere with your upstairs hallway, all other rooms are generally left as they are. We have a specialist structure team that come in and dismantle your existing roof and erect the new roof all in 5/6 days, yes thats right, you are weatherproofed within 5/6days. Once the specialist structure have left then we come in and complete the rest of the project within 4 weeks maximum.

Q: When can you start my loft?

Most lofts come under “Permitted Development” rules so strictly speaking you can start within 48 hours of having your architectural drawings and structural calculations produced. We can arrange for both these items to be completed on your behalf. We work closely with a very good local architect and structural engineer.

Q: How long will the work take?

Generally a loft conversion will take around 5/6 weeks but this may vary depending on size.

Q: Can my home have a loft conversion?

Yes, the majority of lofts can be converted, most people who think their lofts cannot be converted are mistaken. Loft conversions are the easiest way of creating a lot more space in your house without the stress and hassle of moving. It is very easy to create a master bedroom with an ensuite within your loft area and the money you spend on it is paid back double by the increase of the value of your property with the extra ensuite bedroom.
